SUMMARY:Case Presentation: Family Counseling
DESCRIPTION:This case presentation will be held virtually on Tuesday\, June 10th\, 2025 from 12 PM – 1 PM.\n\n\nThis presentation describes the clinical evaluation\, treatment plan\, and therapeutic interventions used by the therapist. The Martinez family’s case illustrates the systemic impact of problem gambling and the efficacy of integrating cognitive-behavioral and family systems interventions. Through psychoeducation\, skill-building\, and peer support\, the family has made significant strides in communication\, emotional regulation\, and financial stability. It provides an opportunity for clinical professionals to examine the counseling process and interventions and ask questions about the decisions made by the therapist as treatment progresses. She was a co-founder a model of rapid response to overdose survivors referred to as the Quick Response Team (QRT) model. \nHer clinical service expertise includes family counseling\, recovery support and intervention. She has provided training all over the country focused on addiction\, families\, counseling skills\,  trauma and codependency.
