SUMMARY:Treatment Ethics -PGNO
DESCRIPTION:Schedule: This virtual training will run on Friday\, May 1\, 2026\, from 1:00 PM – 4:15 PM EST and will include a 15-minute break. It will consist of 3 total hours of content. \nCourse description: This training provides an overview of ethical principles and standards that guide professional counseling practice. Participants will explore key ethical principles\, decision-making models\, and real-world scenarios to enhance their understanding of how to navigate complex ethical dilemmas. The session will cover core topics such as confidentiality\, dual relationships\, informed consent\, cultural competence\, self-care\, and professional boundaries. \nThis training aims to reinforce ethical awareness\, promote best practices\, and ensure compliance with legal and professional standards.  Participants will be asked to share about their own experiences to provide context and real-life examples in addition to considering scenarios presented in the session. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nReview ethical issues\, including ethical principles\, methods for resolution\, and informed consent\nDescribe ethical issues in professional boundaries\, confidentiality\, and dual relationships\nConsider processes in resolving ethical dilemmas\n\nWho Should Attend: Treatment professionals in need of ethics hours \nCost: \n$20 for Non-members \nFree for PGNO members \nTo receive a membership discount\, please log into your membership account to register \n\nContinuing Education: \n3.0 CEUs are available for this training that are counted toward treatment ethics under the OCDP Board and the CSWMFT Board.
