Recently, Be The 95% spoke before the National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing & Media in Atlanta, Georgia, for an audience of academics, public health researchers, and practitioners from federal and state government and the private sector. As the only organization representing the issue of problem gambling at this event, we were thrilled to see gambling finally being addressed as a disease and form of addiction, as this condition long been underestimated in terms of its impact to both the gambler and his or her family.
We were excited to highlight the unique approaches in technology to successfully educate people about responsible gambling practices, and ultimately driving behavior changes.
