We’re reminding even more Ohioans to Get Set Before They Bet.
Published: January 2, 2019
Last year, as part of the Before You Bet campaign, Origo introduced a character named Todd. We created TV, radio and digital materials that followed Todd through a typical day – showing how, as a responsible gambler, he is able to stay calm and cool no matter what.
This year, we’re building on last year’s success. Recent Ohio research has identified new at-risk demographics. Problem gambling is an issue that doesn’t discriminate. It can affect anyone, including African American, Latino, older adult and female populations. We’ve developed new TV, radio and digital creative to help spread the message to those groups.
Meet Nina
In the first series of new creative, we meet Nina – an ordinary young woman who doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Ever since she learned responsible gambling practices at BeforeYouBet.org, she has been able to calmly balance the pressures of work life and college life. The Nina character helps us connect the message of responsible gambling to the Latino, college-age and sports gambler demographics. You can see the new creative elements below and access them through the BeforeYouBet.org Community Toolkit.
<Meet Gerald
Gerald is a regular guy who doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Ever since he visited BeforeYouBet.org, he doesn’t worry about a thing – because he knows how to play it smart no matter what he does throughout his day. The Gerald character helps connect the message of responsible gambling to the older adult and African American demographics. You can see the new creative elements below and access them through the BeforeYouBet.org Community Toolkit.
Origo is proud to be a part of such an important initiative on behalf of Ohio for Responsible Gambling and Ohio citizens. To learn more about the full campaign, visit BeforeYouBet.org
