Recognizing Responsible Gaming Education Week
Published: September 16, 2019
At Before You Bet, our mission is to provide education and raise awareness of responsible gambling practices. Organizations that share our commitment to that mission include Ohio for Responsible Gambling, The Problem Gambling Network of Ohio and The American Gaming Association (AGA).
This week marks the 22nd-annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW) – an initiative founded by the AGA and designed to increase awareness of problem gambling among gaming industry employees and customers. The AGA and the entire gaming industry realize that education is essential to promoting responsible play. RGEW provides that education – with the latest news, research and data related to problem gambling and responsible gaming.
Responsible Gaming Education Week provides gaming companies and casinos with opportunities to expand on the work they do every day by educating employees and ensuring that patrons have easy access to responsible gaming resources. The tools and information offered are valuable components of a comprehensive public health approach to reducing harm from gambling addiction.
Available resources include:
- Tips on How to Participate in RGEW
- Key Messages About Responsible Gaming
- Education & Engagement Resources for Employees and Patrons
- Infographic on Responsible Gaming Trends
- Responsible Gaming Brochures, Posters & Buttons
While RGEW may only last one week, it provides an opportunity to showcase the year-round commitment to responsible gambling practices that we should all be supporting.
