Course description: Join Dr. Heather Chapman and other gambling clinicians for an open forum and guided discussion on treating gambling disorder, with a focus on the unique challenges of sports betting. This learning opportunity, facilitated by Dr. Chapman, will provide a platform for clinicians to share experiences, strategies, and insights in addressing the complexities of sports betting and gambling disorder treatment. Engage with fellow professionals, enhance your understanding, and contribute to the evolving conversation on effective treatment approaches.
This session is being hosted as an insightful open forum, as such, CEUs will not be provided.

Facilitator: Dr. Heather Chapman, Ph.D., ICGC-II, BACC
Heather Chapman is the Director of the Brecksville Gambling Treatment Program and Deputy Director of the Veterans Addiction Recovery Center at the Cleveland VA Medical Center as well as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University. Working with problem gambling for over 20 years, she is an internationally certified gambling counselor/board approved clinical consultant from the International Gambling Certification Board of the NCPG. She is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and as such has developed groups specifically designed to enhance change for those struggling with problem and disordered gambling.
