Revenue is Reaching Record Heights in Ohio Casinos and Racinos.
Published: January 20, 2020
According to reports from the Ohio Casino Control Commission, last October was a landmark month for gambling revenue. Revenue was up 5.7% compared to the same time the year before. Together, the state’s 11 casinos and racinos generated more than $158 million.
Venues across Ohio racked up some pretty big numbers, including:
- MGM-owned Northfield Park near Cleveland generated $21.3 million off slots alone.
- The Hollywood Casino in Columbus took in $18.4 million.
- The Miami Valley Gaming Racino saw a $1.2 million increase compared to the year before.
“Before You Bet’s” mission is to promote responsible gambling practices – and as gambling continues to expand in our state, so too must our efforts to prevent problem gambling before it starts.
The numbers above reflect that gambling in Ohio shows no signs of slowing down. That’s why we can’t slow down, either. It’s more important than ever that we all work together to spread the message of Before You Bet in communities across our state.
