Published: January 6, 2020

February 20-21, 2020

“Before You Bet” shares the goals of The Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO) – to generate awareness and promote education around the issue of problem gambling.

Next month, PGNO will be hosting the 17th Annual Problem Gambling Conference in Lewis Center, Ohio – bringing together national experts, state leaders and local innovators in problem gambling prevention, treatment, recovery and research. Those interested in the prevention and treatment of problem gambling and education on responsible gambling are encouraged to attend.

Each year, the conference features valuable information and insights. Behavioral professionals can learn about the high incidence of risky behaviors among youth that are often defined as occurring with gambling problems. Gambling industry professionals can learn about working within their communities to promote responsible gambling practices.

This year, conference objectives include:

  • Identifying best practices for integrating problem gambling services into behavioral health.
  • Communicating strategies to enhance community readiness around problem gambling.
  • Promoting best practices in problem gambling prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery.
  • Strengthening the relationship between problem gambling service providers and the gaming industry.
